Annals of Biomedical Engineering is an interdisciplinary, international journal which presents original and review articles in the major fields of bioengineering and biomedical engineering.

The scope of the journal covers the wide range of physical, biological and chemical sciences that underpin the design of biomaterials and the clinical disciplines in which they are used. These sciences include polymer synthesis and characterization, drug and gene vector design, the biology of the host response, immunology and toxicology and self assembly at the nanoscale.

IEEE Reviews in Biomedical Engineering (RBME) provides a platform to review the state-of-the-art and trends in the emerging field of biomedical engineering, an interdisciplinary field embracing engineering, life sciences and medicine. The goal of RBME is to consolidate the research and state-of-the-art reviews for members of all the IEEE societies that have an interest in biomedical engineering.

IEEE Transactions on Biomedical Circuits and Systems (TBioCAS) addresses areas at the crossroads of Circuits and Systems and Life Sciences. The main emphasis is on microelectronic issues in a wide range of applications found in life sciences, physical sciences and engineering.

It covers the interdisciplinary aspects of analysis in the pharmaceutical, biomedical and clinical sciences, including developments in analytical methodology, instrumentation, computation and interpretation. Submissions on novel applications focusing on drug purity and stability studies, pharmacokinetics, therapeutic monitoring, metabolic profiling; drug-related aspects of analytical biochemistry and forensic toxicology; quality assurance in the pharmaceutical industry are also welcome.
